This solution is great! I use Vista home premium 32 bit. I downloaded qc848nld.exe and the newest qc1150.exe. I installed the qc848, restarted my computer. Installed qc1150 and waited for the connect screen. As soon as you connect the webcam windows kicks in. Skip the connect screen from the logitech install and end the installation of the program. Then choose install driver from the windows screen and indicate that you want to search your drive for the driver. Go to the path Bajo en calorías mention and the driver installs without a problem.
Updated the driver manually of the "unknown" USB device and it works beautifully with my Vista SP1 64bit. For simple chat IM video is everything I need. I can even use the zoom feature of my Quick Cam Zoom. Webcam made useful again.
I was having the same probleme as many others, after reading the excellent walkthroug by Azural, in the end it didn't work, always the same error "Window found the drivers but cannot installed it, not found the specified files" blabla bla.... it was so frutrating !
But in the end, after reading this page entirely i found that all of the driver were not working because it's not for the same camera and thanks to Tafari who pointed out that i have to use 08b3 instead of 08b4.
My webcam fired up without a hitch but i have no software cd and no included software / app on my windows 10 for using the 5000 to take pictures and video. is there anything out there that you could recommend for basic picture and video taking and production?
Thank you, very good explained. When I updated an old Win 7 to Win 10 the cam used the old Win7 driver of logitech. As I put the cam to another Win10 PC installed without win7, I got this problem and solved it with your quick solution
I tried to follow your instructions, but my PC recognizes the webcam as a microphone, and not as a webcam or an unknown device. When trying to change the drivers to the proper drivers windows says it already has the best drivers, which is a driver for microphones/audio devices. I was wondering if you guys have a fix for this?
Try uninstalling the microphone completely in Device Manager, including delete driver files checkbox. Once done immediately scan for hardware changes and this should bring up unknown device. Just work from there with installing new driver. You might need to do it quick enought as windows may be competing with you to install it before you do. Hope it works.
It was great for a couple of weeks. I had to make do with Creative Entertainment Center rather than WinAmp but that was fine. I could live with that. But then the first time I had to do a clean reinstall of Windows XP and upgraded my Creative X-Fi Platinum drivers I lost use of the remote control.
I had assumed that the remote control drivers were a part of the soundcard drivers, after all the infra-red receiver is firmly embedded into the break-out box that is installed just beneath my DVD-RW drive. But they are not: they are installed with Creative Entertainment Center. I only discovered that yesterday!
As a note, you will want to keep your webcam unplugged before you download and install the new drivers, as the Installation Wizard will tell you when to reconnect your webcam at the appropriate time during the installation process.

It is only possible to use H.239 between two endpoints if they both support the protocol. If they do, then, providing they have two screens, they will see the presentation on one screen and the presenter on the other. If they have one screen, the presentation will usually take up most of the screen with the presenter in a smaller 'picture-in-picture'. When an application has been selected for sharing, that presentation is always on top of other windows on the screen. Mirial Softphone handles incoming H.239 by opening a separate window for the data stream. This can be moved, resized etc. to the layout that is desired. 2ff7e9595c
